Safety is the most important aspect of every Murray project. Our
corporate Health and Safety Program is structured in a manner that
meets or exceeds the industry standards for health and safety while
providing the most cost-effective service for our customers.
Murray’s Health and Safety Program focuses on preventing or reducing
losses and safety incidents using behavior-based tools and
management techniques. This approach identifies and eliminates risk
before it occurs, and is a proven, effective tool that has been
integrated into Murray’s policy. Employees and clients alike
appreciate that preventing injuries is one of our top priorities.
Murray values its employees and makes safety a top priority. We have
in place a comprehensive job site safety program where the main
objective is to instill in every employee (from management down to
field personnel) the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy
work environment.
Our aggressive attitude towards health and safety does not tolerate
unsafe behavior, rather it rewards safe behavior – no injuries, no
incidents, no fatalities, no excuses. We expect each and every
Murray associate to act in a responsible and safe manner at all
times. Our continual effort to improve our health and safety
program, and the dedication of each and every Murray associate, has
enabled our organization to achieve an industry leading health and
safety record.
Our staff conducts daily unscheduled site visits and weekly tailgate
sessions to discuss safety issues with all employees. In addition,
we equip each truck with safety gear, including a fire extinguisher
and first aid kit. We also require employees on job sites to wear
safety vests, boots, hearing protection and hard hats. We also
welcome frequent job-site visits from safety professionals employed
by our insurance carrier. This allows expert, outside opinions to
showcase any areas where we can improve.
Our staff is 10 hour, 30 hour and 40 hour OSHA Certified. Also we
have staff members that are Fire, First Aid, AED Trained as well as
Certified Traffic Control Coordinators.
